Construction in Arizona is the Wild Wild West...
At Mc Brothers, we believe it doesn’t matter what you’ve done in the past. What matters is what you’re doing now.
“You’re only as good as your last job.”
That belief drives how Joshua McCauley runs Mc Brothers Custom Homes.
When you hire Mc Brothers, you know exactly who is responsible for your home. Josh stays personally involved—from the first walk-through with you and the trades, through inspections, all the way to the final details. He doesn’t hand off the job and disappear. Every detail matters until it’s done.
His philosophy is simple: build the house that you can make a home, put the money where it matters, and stand behind the work when it’s finished.
That means choosing materials and systems for the long term—even the things you may never see, from what’s beneath the dirt to what disappears once the drywall goes up. Soil density reports, PEX-A plumbing, spray-foam insulation, fire suppression, and other construction choices are considered where they deliver real value in durability, performance, or peace of mind.
If an upgrade improves your home’s quality or value, it’s worth discussing. If the cost doesn’t justify the benefit, Josh will tell you directly and provide recommendations that make sense for your home and your budget.
Everyone knows the saying, “You get what you pay for.” But construction isn’t always that simple. Contractors come in all shapes and sizes, and pricing can be all over the map with little explanation of what you’re actually getting for your money.
With Mc Brothers, the goal is for you to know exactly what you’re paying for. We believe in clear communication and putting the details in writing so the process is as straightforward as possible.
We won’t be the cheapest builder. We don’t intend to be the most expensive either.
What Mc Brothers will provide is honest numbers backed by honest work—and a house you can make a home, where the value can be seen in how it was built.
No padding the budget with unnecessary upgrades. No cutting corners to reach a number. No hiding behind a company name when there’s a problem.
Josh believes accountability means being present: walking the job, checking the details, communicating with the trades, listening to the client, and addressing problems when they arise.
Because every Mc Brothers house carries his name. But more importantly, you’re trusting us with more than a construction project.
You’re trusting us with your home.
When you’re ready to join the Higher Standard family, contact Josh and let’s get the party started.
